lol mentioning the character and letting the actress appear once doesn’t make them automatically care about angela. 

caring about her means not acting like angela was just one of shawn’s random exes. no. this is angela moore we’re talking about. she wasn’t some woman that was going to ruin shawn’s life when she appeared in gm hurricane. she was a woman he genuinely loved, not felt like he had to. he actually loved her. he learned what a relationship felt like with trust and without fear because of her. the writers making it as if shawn wanted to be another corpanga is completely wrong. in the last seasons of bmw, shawngela was another relationship that nowhere near emulated corpanga.

angela was also cory’s and especially topanga’s best friend. for topanga to not care about angela is the writers not caring. they were best friends. they were there for each during topanga’s parents’ divorce, during each other’s relationship problems, and during angela’s decision on the last episode. angela should’ve been riley’s fucking aunt.

these four people had history since high school. erasing angela off in a poorly written way is disrespecting the character, actress, and fans, especially young black women who looked up to her. angela was groundbreaking in the bmw franchise because she was a black woman in a predominately white show and was not stereotyped and sexualized for her race. she was simply angela. 

with the disrespect the writers did to angela, i’m not surprised trina mcgee (learn and say her name) isn’t coming back. and sweetie, i did know that. i also know that she wasn’t back because they wrote her character wrong. her guest appearance was just some excuse to write her off the story.
