Road Trip
I think this was a very important episode for Shawn. Shawn needed to go off on a Journey in order to find himself. Cory did not understand this at first, because Cory and Shawn often think quite differently. Cory felt as if Shawn was running away from his problems, but all Shawn needed was to get away for a bit and reevaluate his life. His father had just died, and he did not have Angela in his life anymore and he felt empty inside and wanted to find himself. i think this was a very smart move on his part because i feel like when he came back he was much more mature. He had a better grasp on life and what he wanted out of it. When he returned home, i think he knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted to be with his friends and family and enjoy life. Most of all, i believe he wanted to be with Angela. He made no bones about his feelings for her upon his return home. It was as if he had a whole new outlook on life. I thought his transformation was really beautiful. This made Shawn seem like a real person because he was evolving and growing up. I think had he not taken his Road trip then he would not have found his way back to Angela and what made him truly happy.
