Why Shawn and Angela were a true gift.
I’ve talked about this before, but i can’t stress it enough. Shawn and Angela’s love was and is so important to this world. I am someone who grew up wanting to believe in true love, but never really seeing it actually happen in the real world. When Shawn and Angela came on TV, i saw a love that was so unique, and rare yet still so realistic and honest. Their love was genuine and that was important to portray to the audience, especially teenagers.
In this day and age when love seems to be so lost, and many people are getting divorces and giving up on love, i think it’s extra important to showcase a passionate love such as Shawn and Angela. They are uplifting and make people feel happy just by getting a chance to witness their love story, and feel like they are a part of it. There is so much negativity in this world, and to see a love so positive makes people happy. Shawn does not look at Katy anywhere close to the way he looks at Angela, and replacing Angela with a random woman and assuming fans are going to accept that is insane to say the least. The writers should have done everything in their power to preserve Shawn and Angela and show kids that love like that can last and exist in this world. Cory and Topanga show that too, but it’s nice to have a couple who have been through so much struggles in life, who have come together as a couple and overcome insecurities. Shawn and Angela were truly special, and they have a magic about them that will never die. By having this tumblr, i feel i am able to keep them alive to this day, and that makes me very happy.
